FAQ

Questions we get every week

Do you really offer free estimates?

No — and no reputable Twin Cities appliance repair shop does. A proper diagnostic requires a licensed tech on-site with meter tools for 30–60 minutes. What we DO offer is a flat $149 trip fee that's credited 100% to the repair when you approve — so a real repair makes the diagnostic free. Decline the repair and the $149 covers the visit plus a written failure analysis you can take elsewhere for a second opinion.

Is $149 refundable if I don't repair?

The $149 covers the visit whether you approve or not. It's credited toward the repair if you approve. It's not refundable if you decline — but you keep the written diagnostic which is worth $75–$150 elsewhere.

What if the tech misdiagnoses?

1-year written warranty. If we install a part that didn't fix the issue, return trips are free until it's right, and we credit the part cost toward the correct repair.

Do you match phone quotes?

We give ballpark ranges over the phone based on symptom + brand + age (e.g. 'LG French door not cooling, ~10 years old' → likely linear-inverter compressor, $650–$950 range). We won't commit to a firm number until the tech verifies at the unit — that's the honest answer.

How much does refrigerator repair usually cost?

Most residential refrigerator repairs land $245–$585 all-in. Evap fan $265–$385. Damper $285–$425. Compressor start relay $285–$425. Sealed-system / compressor $850–$1,600. Built-in premium (Sub-Zero, Thermador, Viking) adds $40 to trip fee ($189).
