Trust & Coverage
Appliance Repair Warranty Policy
Central Minnesota Appliance Repair LLC stands behind completed residential repairs with a written 1-year parts and labor warranty. This page explains what is covered, what is not covered, how to file a warranty claim, and what to expect after you contact us.
The warranty applies to the specific appliance we serviced and the specific issue we diagnosed and repaired. If an OEM part we installed fails, or the original repaired symptom comes back, we will inspect the appliance and handle covered warranty work according to this policy.

1. What's covered
The warranty covers the following items for 12 months from the date of the original invoice:
- Failure of an OEM part supplied and installed by Central Minnesota Appliance Repair LLC during the original repair.
- Labor required to remove and replace a defective part that is covered under this policy.
- Recurrence of the original symptom we diagnosed and repaired.
- Trip charges and diagnostic fees for covered warranty visits.
2. What's not covered
Some issues fall outside the repair warranty because they are new problems, outside damage, non-covered parts, or changes made after our original repair. The warranty does not cover:
- New and unrelated failures on the same appliance, including different parts or different symptoms.
- Customer-supplied parts — only OEM parts we sourced and installed are covered.
- Pre-existing damage, cosmetic wear, or rust noted on the original invoice.
- Damage caused by power surges, lightning, flooding, or other acts of nature.
- Misuse, overloading, neglect, or failure to follow the manufacturer's care instructions.
- Repairs or modifications performed by anyone other than Central Minnesota Appliance Repair LLC after our visit.
- Appliances moved to a new address after the repair.
- Appliances transferred to a new owner (the warranty does not transfer with the home).
- Commercial appliances installed in residential settings, or vice versa.
Plain-English rule: the warranty protects the repair we performed. It does not turn the entire appliance into a new appliance, and it does not cover unrelated failures that happen later.
3. Quick coverage table
| Status | Situation |
|---|---|
| Covered | An OEM part we supplied and installed fails within 12 months on the same appliance and same repaired issue. |
| Covered | The original symptom we diagnosed and repaired returns because the original repair did not hold. |
| Covered | Labor needed to remove and replace a covered defective part. |
| Covered | Trip charges and diagnostic fees on covered warranty visits. |
| Not covered | A new part fails that was not part of the original repair. |
| Not covered | The appliance has a different symptom than the one originally diagnosed and repaired. |
| Not covered | The customer supplied the part instead of Central Minnesota Appliance Repair sourcing the OEM part. |
| Not covered | Damage caused by flooding, lightning, power surge, misuse, overloading, moving the appliance, or third-party repair work. |
| Not covered | Warranty coverage after the home is sold or the appliance is transferred to a new owner. |
4. Plain-English examples
Covered
A washer drain pump is replaced by Central Minnesota Appliance Repair LLC. Three months later, the same pump fails and the washer has the same no-drain symptom. That's the type of situation the warranty is designed to cover, assuming no exclusion applies. See washer repair service.
Not covered
A dryer heating element is replaced and the dryer heats properly. Two months later, the dryer door switch fails and the dryer won't start. That's a new and unrelated failure, so it would not be covered under the original heating repair warranty.
Not covered
A refrigerator repair is completed at one address, then the appliance is moved to another address and starts having cooling issues. Because the appliance was moved after the original repair, the issue would not be covered under this warranty policy.
5. How to file a warranty claim
- Find your original invoice number — it was sent by email after your repair.
- Call (651) 364-7466 or email service@centralminnesotaappliancerepair.com.
- Include your invoice number, appliance type, service address, and a brief description of what is happening.
- We'll review the original repair and schedule a follow-up visit to confirm whether the issue is covered.
- If the issue is covered, we'll complete the covered warranty repair according to this policy.
You can also contact our appliance repair team for general questions, or read more about who we are and why our warranty is in writing.
6. Warranty response time
Warranty calls are prioritized. After a claim is confirmed, we aim to schedule covered warranty visits within 1 to 2 business days when scheduling allows. If the appliance is unusable — for example a refrigerator that's not cooling — we'll do everything we can to get a technician out the same day.
7. Limitations of liability
Our maximum liability under this warranty is limited to the total amount paid on the original invoice for the repair in question.
We are not liable for incidental or consequential damages — for example lost food, water damage, or loss of use — to the fullest extent allowed by law. Some jurisdictions don't allow these limitations, so they may not apply to you.
8. Manufacturer warranties
Many OEM parts we install carry separate manufacturer warranties, often longer than the Central Minnesota Appliance Repair LLC 1-year warranty. When applicable, we'll help you file directly with the manufacturer for parts-only coverage that extends beyond our 1-year warranty period.

No. Incidental or consequential damages, including food loss, water damage, or loss of use, are not covered under the repair warranty to the fullest extent allowed by law.
What happens if the appliance was moved after the repair?
Appliances moved to a new address after the original repair are not covered under the warranty policy.
Does the warranty transfer if I sell my home?
No. The warranty stays with the original invoice holder and the appliance at its original service address. It does not transfer to a new homeowner.
