FAQs

Appliance repair questions, answered

Pricing, warranty, brands, service areas, and the most-asked questions we get from Twin Cities and western Wisconsin homeowners.

  • What appliance repair services do you offer in the Twin Cities?

Same-day in-home repair for every major household appliance — refrigerators, freezers, ice makers, ranges, wall ovens, cooktops, microwaves, washers, dryers, and dishwashers — across Minneapolis, St. Paul, the entire seven-county Twin Cities metro, and western Wisconsin. We also run a dedicated commercial division for restaurants, bars, hotels, and grocery.

  • How fast can a technician get to my house?

Most service calls placed before 2 PM on a weekday get a same-day window. We dispatch in two-hour arrival windows from depots near Minneapolis and St. Paul, and we hold reserve slots every day specifically for fridge, freezer, and leak emergencies.

  • How much does appliance repair cost in Minneapolis and St. Paul?

Flat $129 trip fee on standard appliances and $149–$179 on built-ins, pro-style, and sealed-system work (Sub-Zero, Wolf, Viking, Thermador, Miele) — all fully waived when you approve the repair. Most completed repairs land between $180 and $620 all-in. Pro-style range, induction inverter, and refrigerator sealed-system work runs higher and is always quoted in writing before any work starts.

  • Do you charge for a quote?

There is no charge to give you a written quote — the $129 trip fee covers the technician's time to actually identify the failed part, test the surrounding components, and confirm the fix. Quote is included. If you approve the repair, the $129 is fully waived; if you decline, you pay only the flat $129 with no parts or labor markup.

  • Do you offer a warranty?

Yes — every completed repair carries a written 1-year parts-and-labor warranty. If the same failure recurs within 12 months of the original repair, we return at no charge for parts, labor, and the trip. Warranty applies to the same failure on the same appliance and requires proof of original invoice.

  • What brands do you service?

Every major brand sold in the Twin Cities: Sub-Zero, Wolf, Viking, Thermador, Miele, Bosch, KitchenAid, GE, GE Profile, GE Café, GE Monogram, JennAir, Dacor, Samsung, LG, Whirlpool, Maytag, Frigidaire, Electrolux, Fisher & Paykel, Speed Queen, Amana, Kenmore, and more. Every truck carries OEM parts for the most-failed components across these brands.

  • Are your technicians licensed and insured?

Yes — every technician is fully licensed, insured, background-checked, and EPA Section 608 certified for refrigerant work. We're also licensed for gas-line work in Minnesota, which is required for any gas range, gas oven, or gas dryer repair.

  • Do you offer same-day appliance repair near me?

Yes — same-day windows are the default across Minneapolis, St. Paul, Bloomington, Edina, Minnetonka, Plymouth, Maple Grove, Eden Prairie, Woodbury, Eagan, Burnsville, Brooklyn Park, Roseville, Wayzata, Hudson, Prescott, and Hastings when you book before 2 PM on a weekday.

  • What cities do you serve?

The full Twin Cities seven-county metro (Hennepin, Ramsey, Dakota, Anoka, Washington, Carver, Scott), western Wisconsin (St. Croix and Pierce counties — Hudson, Prescott, River Falls, Roberts, Somerset), and Central MN including Hastings, Red Wing, and the Lake Minnetonka western suburbs. Full city list on our service-areas page.

  • Do you fix high-end and luxury appliances?

Yes — pro-style and luxury work is a senior-tech specialty. Wolf and Viking pro-style ranges and wall ovens, Sub-Zero built-in and column refrigerators, Thermador Pro Grand, Miele dishwashers and laundry, JennAir, Dacor, and Fisher & Paykel — all serviced by factory-trained senior technicians with OEM parts sourced through authorized distribution, never aftermarket.

  • Do you repair commercial restaurant appliances?

Yes. We run a dedicated commercial division serving restaurants, bars, hotels, cafés, and grocery across Minneapolis and St. Paul — walk-in coolers and freezers, reach-ins, ice machines (Hoshizaki, Manitowoc, Scotsman), commercial dishwashers (Hobart, Champion, Jackson), and commercial ranges, ovens, and fryers. 24/7 emergency response for active food-service operations.

  • Is it worth repairing an appliance or should I just replace it?

Under 7 years old: repair is almost always the right call. Between 7 and 12 years: depends on the failed part — element, sensor, valve, and pump work is cost-effective; control-board work on a builder-grade unit is borderline. Over 12 years on a Sub-Zero, Wolf, Viking, Thermador, Miele, or commercial unit, still repair — those are engineered as 20+ year appliances. Over 12 years on a builder-grade unit with major-component failure, lean replace.

  • Do you work on weekends?

Yes — we run full Saturday schedules and reserved Sunday emergency slots for refrigerator, freezer, and leak calls. Weekend rates are the same as weekday rates; there is no weekend surcharge on the diagnostic or on labor.

  • What payment methods do you accept?

All major credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover), debit, ACH, and check. Payment is collected on completion of the repair, not up front. We do not require a deposit to book a service call.

  • How long does a typical repair take?

Most repairs are completed in a single visit, typically 45–120 minutes after the trip fee. Element, igniter, valve, gasket, and sensor work usually finishes on the spot. Compressor, control-board, and sealed-system jobs occasionally need a parts order for a same-week follow-up — you'll know up front before any charges are committed.

  • Do you use OEM parts?

Yes — genuine OEM parts on every repair. We source through manufacturer-authorized distribution (Sub-Zero/Wolf direct, Viking authorized, Bosch direct, etc.). We do not use generic aftermarket parts. OEM parts are also what the 1-year warranty is written against.

  • Can I book a repair online?

Yes — online booking is available 24/7 from any page on the site. You pick the appliance, brand, and a two-hour arrival window, and a dispatcher confirms within an hour. You can also call (651) 364-7466 during business hours to book by phone.

  • Do you offer emergency appliance repair?

Yes for refrigerator, freezer, leak, and gas-smell calls — those jump the queue and we try to be there within hours. Standard non-emergency repairs are scheduled into the next available same-day or next-day window.
