Do you repair Thermador appliances near me in Minneapolis or Edina?+
Yes — Thermador is one of our specialty brands. We service Pro Grand, Pro Harmony, Star Burner cooktops, Freedom column refrigerators, and Sapphire dishwashers daily across Minneapolis, St. Paul, Edina, Wayzata, North Oaks, Lake Minnetonka, and Plymouth. Same-day windows when you call before 2pm.
Are you factory-trained on Thermador?+
Yes — our senior built-in techs are factory-trained on Thermador Pro Grand, Pro Harmony, Masterpiece, and Freedom columns, and EPA Section 608 certified for any sealed-system refrigeration work. Thermador shares the BSH parts platform with Bosch and Gaggenau, which means parts availability is excellent and most Thermador repairs finish in one visit.
What is the Thermador trip fee?+
$189 for built-in and pro-style Thermador (Pro Grand, Pro Harmony, Freedom columns, Masterpiece wall ovens). The diagnostic fee is waived when you approve the repair, and you get a written quote before any parts are installed.
Why does my Thermador Pro Grand burner click continuously after it lights?+
Continuous clicking after ignition almost always means a boil-over has contaminated the spark electrode on one burner, or the spark module is misfiring on one channel. We pull the burner cap, clean and dry the electrode, and verify the spark module ground path. If the module itself has failed we replace it — OEM Thermador spark modules ride on the truck.
My Thermador Freedom fridge column is warming but the compressor is running — what's wrong?+
On Freedom columns this is almost always the evaporator fan motor seizing. The compressor keeps running because the thermistor still sees warm air, but no air is being moved across the cold coil. We replace the fan motor and verify the drain heater and defrost cycle — both are common cluster failures on T36 columns at 6–9 years.
Does Thermador share parts with Bosch?+
Yes and no. Thermador and Bosch share the same parent (BSH) and many electronics, sensors, and small components are cross-platform — that's why parts availability is so good. But the high-visibility components (Star Burner caps, ExtraLow valves, Freedom column trim, Pro Grand surface kits) are Thermador-specific. We stock the Thermador-specific parts that fail most.
Is my Thermador Sapphire dishwasher worth repairing?+
Almost always yes if it's under 12 years. Sapphire and Star-Sapphire are essentially Bosch 800-series dishwashers with Thermador trim — they're built well, parts are stocked, and the most common failures (drain pumps, door-spring cables, E15 leak-tray events) are sub-$400 fixes. Past 15 years we'll quote honestly against replacement.
What does E15 mean on my Thermador dishwasher?+
E15 means the leak-tray flood switch under the dishwasher tripped — water made it past the tub. The most common causes are a slow door-boot weep, a loose hose-clamp on the drain, or a failed circulation-pump shaft seal. Don't keep cycling — the dishwasher will pump down and refuse to fill until the tray is dry. We diagnose the leak source on the first visit.
Can you do sealed-system refrigeration work on Thermador Freedom columns?+
Yes — every senior tech is EPA Section 608 certified for sealed-system refrigeration work. We have recovery machines, micron gauges, brazing torches, and OEM Thermador filter-drier and compressor parts on the truck. We'll only recommend sealed-system work after non-invasive diagnostics rule out the easier fixes.
What is your warranty on Thermador repairs?+
Every completed Thermador repair carries a 1-year parts-and-labor warranty in writing. Same failure inside the year, we come back free of charge — no trip fee, no diagnostic fee. Sealed-system work and built-in installations carry the same warranty.
Do you do Thermador repair in Edina, Wayzata, and North Oaks?+
Yes — those are three of our most-serviced Thermador markets. The Country Club District in Edina, Lake Minnetonka shoreline in Wayzata, and the gated streets of North Oaks all carry a lot of Pro Grand, Freedom column, and Masterpiece installations. We run those routes daily and built-in jobs get priority scheduling.
My Thermador wall-oven self-clean cycle is stuck and the door won't unlock.+
If the door lock motor failed mid-cycle, the door will stay locked until the EOC believes the cavity has cooled below 350°F. First, unplug the oven for 5 minutes and restore power — many lock motors will release on power-up self-test. If it stays locked, the door-lock motor or the EOC has failed — call us, both parts are on the truck.
What does the Thermador Star Burner do that other burners don't?+
The Star Burner fires from 5 points instead of the standard 2, which spreads heat more evenly across pan bottoms and (importantly for repair) keeps the burner running cleanly even when partially blocked. The trade-off is that the 5-point spark requires a stronger and more humidity-sensitive ignition system — that's why Thermador ignition diagnostics are different than a basic GE or Frigidaire range.
