Why is my gas burner clicking but not lighting?
Almost always a wet or misaligned burner cap, a clogged burner port, or a spark-module relay that is firing but not igniting because the electrode cracked. A technician dries the burner, clears the port, then tests the spark module under load.
Why is my oven not reaching temperature?
On electric ovens the usual cause is a partially-open bake element or a drifted oven sensor reading 30–60°F low to the control board. On gas ovens it is the glow-bar igniter weakening and failing to pull enough current to open the gas-valve safety.
Do you repair pro-style ranges (Wolf, Viking, Thermador)?
Yes — factory-trained on Wolf DF / GR / R series, Viking Professional 5 / 7 Series, Thermador Pro Grand and Masterpiece, and Miele HR-series dual-fuel. We carry pro-style igniters, spark modules, and burner caps on the van.
How much does range repair cost?
$149 trip fee waived with the repair. Standard range repairs in the Twin Cities run $240–$520 including OEM parts and a 1-year warranty. Induction generator-board replacement and Wolf / Viking pro-style infrared broiler work run higher and are quoted in writing first.
Is induction worth repairing?
Yes when the unit is under 10 years old and only one zone-pair is out — most induction generators on LG, Bosch, Café, and Wolf are modular and only the failed zone-pair board needs replacement. Full-deck replacements on older units are usually borderline.
Is a gas smell when the burner is off dangerous?
Yes — shut off the gas at the appliance valve behind the range, ventilate the room, and do not use any electric switches. Call us or your gas utility immediately. Most cases are a failed gas-valve seal or a loose flare fitting at the regulator.
