Six common causes, in rough order of frequency: (1) beer is too warm (over 40°F at the keg — a refrigeration problem); (2) CO2 pressure is set too high (most US ales sit at 10–14 psi at 38°F); (3) beer lines are dirty (line cleaning every 2 weeks for active kegerators); (4) the draft tower is warmer than the keg (tower fan failure); (5) the keg coupler washer is worn (introduces air); (6) the faucet seat is scored. We diagnose all six on-site.

CO2 pressure for 38°F service runs ~10–14 psi depending on the beer style. Higher temps require higher CO2 (warmer beer holds less CO2 in solution).
