What does a 22E code mean on a Samsung refrigerator?
22E is a fridge-side evaporator fan fault, almost always because ice has built up around the fan blade on a twin-cooling model. We clear the ice, correct the defrost fault that caused it, and replace the fan motor if the bearing is already damaged — $285–$425 all-in.
Why is water pooling under my crisper drawers?
The defrost drain tube is frozen. Melt water backs up over the drain pan lip and runs forward under the crispers, then out onto the floor. The fix is clearing the tube and installing the drain heater kit so it stops refreezing — $285–$425. Clearing it without the kit usually buys only a few months.
