A skilled tech can usually triangulate the root cause within fifteen minutes — error code, drum behavior, drain test, and a quick listen during the spin cycle. After that, it's a parts question: did we bring the right one on the truck? Ninety-plus percent of the time, yes.

The ten percent that needs a return visit usually means a control board or a brand-specific door interlock that we order and install on a follow-up. We don't charge a second diagnostic for return visits on the same fault — that's covered in the original $129.

Front-load bearings and the repair-vs-replace question

If your front-loader is howling like a jet engine on the spin cycle, that's almost always the main bearing. It's a real repair — five to seven hours, full disassembly of the outer tub on most modern designs — and it lands between $480 and $720 depending on the model. On a machine under five years old, it's a clear repair. On a ten-year-old machine with a failing bearing and a tired pump, we'll usually recommend replacement instead. We tell you straight, in writing, before any work starts.
