Same-day washer repair across the Twin Cities

A broken washer turns into a household crisis fast. Wet clothes in the drum, a basement floor that's about to flood, a Saturday's worth of laundry stacking up. We built our washer service to flatten that crisis: book before 2pm, get a same-day window, and have it running again the same evening in most cases. Our trucks roll loaded for Samsung, LG, Whirlpool, Maytag, GE, Bosch, Electrolux, Speed Queen, and Miele — the brands we see most across Minneapolis, St. Paul, Plymouth, Edina, Eden Prairie, and the Western Wisconsin corridor.

We also know the calls that don't show up in the brochure. The Maytag Bravos that throws an F21 every Sunday morning. The Samsung VRT that walks across the laundry room when it spins. The LG WM4000 with a door-lock fault on a 4-year-old front loader. We've fixed every one of those, and our parts loadout reflects it.

What washer repair actually looks like

Most washer failures land on a short list: drain pump, door lock, control board, drive belt, suspension rods or shocks (top-load), main bearing (front-load), or a leaking door boot seal. A skilled tech can usually triangulate the root cause within fifteen minutes — error code, drum behavior, drain test, and a quick listen during the spin cycle. After that, it's a parts question: did we bring the right one on the truck? Ninety-plus percent of the time, yes.

The ten percent that needs a return visit usually means a control board or a brand-specific door interlock that we order and install on a follow-up. We don't charge a second diagnostic for return visits on the same fault — that's covered in the original $129.

Front-load bearings and the repair-vs-replace question

If your front-loader is howling like a jet engine on the spin cycle, that's almost always the main bearing. It's a real repair — five to seven hours, full disassembly of the outer tub on most modern designs — and it lands between $480 and $720 depending on the model. On a machine under five years old, it's a clear repair. On a ten-year-old machine with a failing bearing and a tired pump, we'll usually recommend replacement instead. We tell you straight, in writing, before any work starts.

Honest pricing, real warranty

Flat $129 diagnostic, waived the moment you approve the repair. Most washer repairs land between $180 and $420 all-in. Bearing jobs run higher and are always quoted in writing. Every completed repair carries a 1-year parts-and-labor warranty — same failure inside the year, we come back free.

Maintenance that doubles a washer's life

Front-load washers need a monthly tub-clean cycle with an affresh tablet or a cup of distilled white vinegar — biofilm in the boot is the #1 cause of the smell, and a cleaner boot is a longer-lived door seal. Wipe the gasket dry after every wash and leave the door cracked open between loads. Pull the inlet hoses every five years and check for bulges; a burst hose is the most expensive failure in any laundry room. Run an empty hot cycle if you've been doing back-to-back cold-only loads — it keeps the drain pump and gasket from going slimy.

Top-load HE washers benefit from the same monthly clean cycle and from keeping the load balanced. Off-balance loads kill suspension rods on top-loaders faster than anything else. If your washer is throwing OE or drain errors, our LG drain pump replacement walkthrough on the blog shows the exact filter-clean-and-test process we use on the truck.

When to DIY and when to call us

Homeowner-friendly: cleaning the front-load pump filter, swapping inlet hoses, replacing the door boot seal on most front-loaders, and running diagnostic mode to read codes. If you're handy and the part match is exact, the drain pump itself is a fair DIY job too — see our LG washer drain pump guide for the step-by-step.

Tech-level work: main-bearing replacement (it's a 5–7 hour tear-down), control-board diagnostics, motor or stator faults, transmission failures on top-loaders, and anything involving the door-lock interlock circuit on a machine that won't even start. We carry the parts and the diagnostic gear that tells us in 15 minutes what would take a homeowner half a Saturday to confirm.

FAQ

Washer Repair — common questions

How much does washer repair cost?

Flat $129 diagnostic, fully waived when you approve the repair. Most washer repairs land between $180 and $420 all-in. Bearing replacement on a front-loader runs $480–$720 and is always quoted in writing first.

Can you fix a washer same-day?

Yes — calls placed before 2pm on a weekday get a same-day window. Common parts (pumps, valves, belts, control boards, door locks) ride on every truck so most jobs finish in one visit.

Is my washer worth fixing?

Under 8 years old: almost always yes. Over 10 years with a major failure (bearing, transmission, control board): we'll usually recommend replacement. We give you the real number in writing before any work starts.

Do you service all brands?

Yes — Samsung, LG, Whirlpool, Maytag, GE, Bosch, Miele, Speed Queen, Electrolux, and more, with OEM parts on every truck.

What does an LE / OE / dE error code mean?

LE is usually a motor or hall-sensor fault on LG washers, OE is a drain issue, and dE is a door-lock fault. We diagnose the actual root cause on the first visit — error codes are clues, not diagnoses.
