What it is: 60% of Maytag 'no heat' calls trace back to a restricted vent that overheated and opened the one-shot thermal cutoff. The dryer still tumbles but never gets hot. Replacing the cutoff without clearing the vent burns out a new one in weeks.
Fix: Clear the full vent run, replace OEM cutoff + high-limit kit, verify temp rise to 135°F+.

Confirm the 30A double-pole breaker hasn't half-tripped — gives a tumble-but-no-heat symptom. Free fix if that's it.
Disconnect vent at the wall and run High Heat 5 minutes. Strong hot air = vent OK; weak / cool = clogged.
Pull rear panel, find cutoff on heater housing. Open = blown by restriction. Replace as kit and clear vent.
8–14 Ω across leads = good. Open = burned. Replace kit.
Glow + no flame = coils. No glow = igniter. Coil kit + igniter on truck.
