Common repairs
Freezer compartment warm or holding above 10°F. Most common causes on LG units: failed evaporator fan (Er IF), defrost heater failure causing ice block on the evap coil (F dH), or — on French-door / bottom-freezer LRMVS units — Linear Compressor failure (Er CO). We diagnose all three in a single visit and check LG's 10-year sealed-system warranty before quoting.
Heavy frost on the freezer walls or ice block on the rear evaporator panel is almost always a defrost-system failure — heater coil, bi-metal thermostat, or defrost thermistor. We replace the full OEM LG defrost kit as a unit so we're not back for the bi-metal in three months.
