FAQ

Questions we get every week

How much does OTR microwave repair cost?

Most OTR microwave repairs land $245–$425 all-in including the $149 trip fee (waived on approval). Door interlock switches $185–$285. Magnetron $325–$525. Turntable motor $185–$245. Control board $285–$425. If the total exceeds ~60% of a replacement unit, we tell you up front.

Is my OTR microwave worth repairing?

Under 5 years old and inside warranty — usually yes. 5–8 years with a $200–$300 repair — usually yes. 10+ years or a magnetron on a builder-grade GE / Whirlpool — usually replace. We give you a straight recommendation before we quote.

Do you install replacement OTR microwaves?

Yes — full removal and mounting with vent-hood ducting on GE, Whirlpool, KitchenAid, and Samsung OTR units. Includes disposal of the old unit and mounting-plate leveling.

Sparking inside — is it safe to use?

No — stop using it. Sparking usually means the waveguide cover is burned through or the mica has failed. Continued use will damage the magnetron. We can replace the waveguide cover on most units for $185–$285.

Same-day service?

Yes — call before 2pm south metro / 1pm outer ring for a window today. Door switches, turntable motors, and common control boards ride on the truck.
