Whirlpool microwave failures
Most common cause: Failed magnetron on Whirlpool WMH, WML, and Maytag MMV OTR units. Whirlpool magnetrons fail more often than the high-voltage diode or capacitor — the magnetron is the first part we test on a no-heat call.
What we do: Discharge the HV capacitor, test the magnetron filament and cathode, and swap with the OEM Whirlpool magnetron if confirmed failed. Boil test before closing.
