Why a specialist
Whirlpool ovens span four very different platforms — electric coil-element WFE, gas WFG, induction WFI / WCI, and double wall WOS / WOC — and each has its own failure pattern. Misdiagnosing the platform is how an F1-E1 call (an EOC board failure) gets quoted as a new oven. We test the temperature sensor first, then the EOC, then the wiring harness — about 10% of suspected F1-E1 calls turn out to be a $35 sensor instead of a $315 board.

Common repairs
Bake or broil element burnout is the single most common Whirlpool electric oven call (WFE, WEE, WFG dual-fuel). Symptom: oven runs but never reaches temperature, or the broil element won't glow. We replace the OEM bake or broil element and run a calibrated bake test before we leave. Both elements together when both show age — replacing one and not the other is a wasted trip in 12 months.
Gas WFG range igniter (glow-bar) cracks or loses resistance, the gas valve safety circuit never opens, no flame. We replace the OEM Whirlpool W10918546 / WP9758079 igniter and verify the gas valve safety drop before re-firing.
F1-E1, F1-E0, and F2 on Whirlpool AccuBake and current WFE / WFG ovens are almost always the EOC board failing. We carry the most-failed Whirlpool W11233239 / WPW10340314 EOC boards on every truck and test the temperature sensor before swapping the board.
Convection fan motor bearing failure on WOS / WOC double wall ovens and convection ranges — symptom is a grinding noise on convection mode or convection mode no longer bakes evenly. We replace the OEM convection motor and inspect the rear shroud bearings.
Whirlpool induction ranges (WFI / WCI) fail at the generator board (under the cooktop, drives the coils) or at an individual induction coil. We test both before quoting — generator board swap is a much smaller job than full cooktop replacement.
Worn door hinges sag and the door no longer seals against the gasket — bake times go up, broil element struggles, and (on self-clean models) the latch can't engage. We replace OEM door hinges, gasket, and the latch motor as needed in one visit.

F1-E1 is a primary control failure on the Electronic Oven Control (EOC) board — the brain of the oven that runs the bake / broil / convection logic. About 90% of F1-E1 calls are an EOC board replacement; the remaining 10% are a failed oven temperature sensor confusing the board into thinking the EOC has died. We test the sensor first ($0 in parts if it's good) before quoting the board.
On electric WFE / WEE ovens: bake or broil element burnout is the most likely cause (visible break in the element, or no glow on the bake test). On gas WFG ranges: the igniter has cracked or lost resistance and the gas valve safety circuit never opens. On both: a failed oven temperature sensor will also stop the oven from cycling on.
