What it is: Most common right after a self-clean cycle — the high heat fatigues the latch motor, which fails to release. F9E1 with door locked is the classic symptom.
Fix: Replace OEM latch motor assembly, run service-mode lock test, verify both engage and release.

Diagnostic order
F9E0 = lock not engaging. F9E1 = lock not disengaging (often after self-clean). F9E2 = signal mismatch.
Pull breaker for 60 sec. Sometimes clears a one-shot fault. If F9 returns within a cycle, parts work needed.
Pull oven top or back panel, watch latch motor try to engage. No movement = motor failed.
Continuity must change as latch moves through full travel. Intermittent = replace.
Continuity must close cleanly when door closes — sagging hinges throw the switch off and trigger F9.
