Built-in refrigerator door alarm
Viking 36" / 42" / 48" built-in refrigerators (DDBB, VCBB, VBI, VCSB) develop door-gasket compression loss at year 8+ and hinge cartridge sag at year 10+. Door alarm chronically firing = gasket or hinges. Gasket replacement $485–$685 OEM. Hinge cartridge $385–$585 OEM. Don't ignore — warm humid air dumps into the cavity and ices the evap coil, leading to a defrost-system repair next.
